Free professional development webinar on managing screen time and building healthy habits at home.

We invite parents and carers of primary aged children to a free professional development webinar on managing screen time and building healthy habits at home.

Led by Brad Marshall (The Unplugged Psychologist), who is an internationally published author, researcher, clinician, and speaker in the field of healthy tech use. He will use this session to provide practical insights and strategies to help parents and carers navigate screen use. Topics include:

✅ The science behind how screen use affects children

✅ Warning signs of screen addiction

✅ Practical strategies to manage screen time and build healthy habits

✅ Where to find further information and support

✅ Live Q&A session

2025 My Country RSL Competition.

There will be a choice of two topics for this year’s competition:

“Commemorating 100 years of Anzac-an enduring Legend” or “August 1945- Victory in the Pacific and Returning Home from War”. As in previous years, students can choose between written work (composition or poetry) and art.

Entry forms can be downloaded from the website at www.forestvillersl.org.au/Schools/australia-my-country.   Please start working on your entries now!  All completed entry forms can be handed into the school office.

Please note that entries will close on Friday, 9 May and will be collected from OLGC by a member of the sub-Branch Committee during the week ending Friday, 16 May. It is then our intention to announce who the prize winners are by Tuesday, 27 May and award the prizes on Saturday, 14 June.
