News update from St Paul’s Catholic College Manly

 

A message from Miss Lucy Davies  

Manly Warringah District Cricket Club, in conjunction with Cricket NSW and the Manly Warringah Junior Cricket association will be launching the Woolworths Cricket Blast competition in the Manly Warringah area.   

The Woolworths Cricket Blast is a program that aims to get young boys and girls involved in the game of cricket for the first time. Manly Warringah will be launching this year’s program on Saturday 31st of August at Graham Reserve, Fairlight. Arrival time is 12:45pm for a 1pm start, with the event finishing at around 3pm. 

Registration is mandatory as it is anticipated that spaces will be filled quickly. You can register at the “Play HQ” link under “Tickets”. 

Collaborating with Cricket NSW, Manly Warringah’s Men’s and Women’s playing group will help run batting, bowling and fielding stations. There will be a catching competition after the stations are done, as well as a Q&A with the Manly players at the end. 

Each of the 8 junior clubs will also be in attendance for each player and family member to talk to about how they can get involved in cricket this coming season. 

It promises to be a fantastic day and it would be great to see as many local players there as possible!
