Jubilee Year – 2025 – The Year of Hope
This year is an extra special year for many reasons. One of the most important, is that it is a Jubilee Year, and the Pope has declared it a year of HOPE.

Every 25 years, the Catholic Church holds a Jubilee Year. All members of the global Church family are called to participate. It is a time to grow deeper in our faith and prayer life. A time too to re-establish a proper relationship with God, with one another, and with all creation.
On Tuesday, 24 December 2024, Pope Francis launched the theme – Pilgrims of Hope.
During this Jubilee Year, school staff and pupils, along with their families and parish communities, are asked to remind themselves that Christ, and the values He taught, are central to who we are and what we do. Following Christ makes us pilgrims of hope. During our Jubilee year Pope Francis encourages us to be signs of hope in the world. See below a selection of scriptures concerned with the theme of hope.
At OLGC, we will be participating in activities to learn and grow in our faith, delving into the Year of Hope as a school and as a staff. We encourage all of us as a community to connect as a family also.
