Family Masses
Thank you to all the families who attended our first Family Mass at the beginning of March, followed by the Parish picnic. It was so lovely to see you all and share a special time together. A heartfelt thank you to those who volunteered to help at the Mass and BBQ—it was truly a wonderful day filled with fun and laughter. We also extend our gratitude to our dedicated teachers who gave up their weekend to attend the Mass and picnic.
A reminder to mark Saturday, 5 April, at 5:30 pm in your diaries for our next Family Mass. All are welcome to join us for Mass and enjoy a bite to eat afterwards.
Project Compassion
To begin the season of Lent, we gathered as a school for a beautiful Ash Wednesday Mass and liturgy. Throughout Lent, we encourage you to support Project Compassion by using the donation boxes the children received last week. Try to inspire your children to earn money to contribute to this important initiative.
Student Project Compassion Boxes are due back at school by Friday, 4 April.
Parish News
A big thank you and congratulations to all the children who completed their First Reconciliation a couple of weeks ago. It was a special occasion for them and their parents, who have supported them throughout this journey. We now look forward to their next step in the sacramental program. In May, these children will begin preparing for their First Eucharist (First Communion).
Frenchs Forest Parish is a vibrant and welcoming community, offering many opportunities for families to connect. This Saturday evening is the annual St Pat’s Day Trivia Night, held in the OLGC hall. Everyone is welcome to come along and have some fun! Please refer to the invitation sent via Compass last week.
Our Wednesday playgroup is a great way for parents and children to meet and enjoy time together. We invite you to join us in the hall each Wednesday from 9:45 to 10:30 am.
As we journey through Lent, we take time for prayer, fasting, and reflection on Jesus’ sacrifice. During this season, the children will learn about God’s love and how they can share that love with others, especially those less fortunate.
