We were so excited when our performance choir won first place in the Northern Beaches Eisteddfod. We know the children sound beautiful but it is gratifying to know others appreciate their singing as well. The efforts and expertise of our choir teacher Mrs Sarah Webster has contributed enormously to their development and we congratulate them on the wonderful performance.
As you are probably now aware we are in the process of replacing Mrs Juliette Gordon as our Canteen Manager. Juliette was the first person appointed to the role and has set the canteen structures up both practically and effectively. With the support of Mrs Alison Huxley and Mrs Louise Epthorp the canteen has proven to be a very successful venture. The position will continue to be advertised for the next two weeks.
The staff are finding that some children are leaving school with other parents and friends and the school has not been notified. If your child is being collected by someone other than parents or grandparents, please send an email to the office alerting us to the change. This is a CSO protocol.
The staff will be sharing some of the learning associated with our thinking program, technology and coding and the various innovations we have across the school. If you would like to know more about what makes OLGC different please come to our presentation which will follow the P&F meeting on 17 June. We would love to see you there.
Our Year 4 teacher Miss Bethany Chadbourne will be getting married on Saturday 29 June. We wish her a beautiful wedding and know that she will be an exquisite bride. Beth will be away until the beginning of Term 3 and Mrs Caroline McNally will be teaching the class.
Peace and blessings
