Band
Children are able to join the training band from Year 3 and need no previous experience. Please click here for joining the band in 2023
Band involvement can benefit children in many different ways. Apart from developing musical ability and performance techniques, children gain valuable social skills by becoming an integral member of an ensemble.
The school employs a professional musician as our Band Teacher for the program. The Band Teacher co-ordinates and conducts both the Concert Band and Training Band. Private band tutors provide instrument lessons for those children who are enrolled in the program and play in the band. Students perform at eisteddfods and special functions throughout the year.
Public Speaking
The skills of public speaking are specifically taught from Years 3 – 6, with senior students involved in a school-based public speaking tournament. Those selected then move onto representative competitions at district and diocesan levels.
Keyboard
All children in K-6 have an opportunity to learn the keyboard. Classes are available either before school or during lunch. Parents can contact Colin Woodward on 0412 897 737 for more information.
